Having him so close, she no longer felt like she might lose it at any moment. He gave her strength. Made her feel safe and loved. Made her feel wanted.

The look in his eyes quickly morphed from fearful hope to unbridled lust. His irises glowed with a silvery fire as he backed her toward the bed. When she reached the mattress, he stopped his advance.

“I believe you promised we could do something later…and it’s definitely later.”

The rasp in his voice, combined with his sexy accent, made her want to rip off his clothes. If they’d had more time, she would have pretended not to remember the comment she’d made when he was showering.

Instead, she eased her hands down his back and along his sides, eliciting a primal groan from him. Then she worked her way across his abs. He shuddered.

There was so much she wanted to do to him but so little time. The second she undid his belt, they broke into a frenzied race to remove each other’s clothes. Shoes were kicked off, shirts flew, and pants were left in piles.
